Editing

Editing our piece was quite a long process for many reasons. As half the shots were done in widescreen we had to use a new programme that the editor and group didn’t feel very comfortable using. We had all had some experience using windows movie maker so moving onto premiere slowed the process down a lot as it took some time to get used to this new technology.

We had some more problems loading up the work we had saved each time we tried to open it which took quite a bit of time to sort out each lesson. However, once these problems had been overcome the issues we had were ones we had had practise overcoming such as continuity problems within the shots.

In comparison to our storyboard and script, our final piece was a lot different because we altered and added our chosen shots to make it flow more and to make our continuity better. For example, we switched two shots around as our actress had on a headband on before we could see her picking it up and putting it on.

We also had to take out our original idea of having the titles on a music book as we realised that we hadn’t filmed them long enough or had them big enough on the screen to look significant. We, instead, put them on using premiere, choosing a pink starred font but still placing them in a separate shot like we had previously planned.

Overall, I’m happy with the final edit and think that I it's very good considering how much we had to change from the original script.
